Kirbys of Meanwood has just been included in the Top 50 Fish & Chip TakeAways in the UK for 2022 / 2023.

We are thrilled with this announcement which underpins our highest standards in food, customer service and marketing. Kirbys inclusion into the Top 50 follows two rounds of mystery dining visits by the leading trade publication Fry Magazine in which an anonymous judge secretly scrutinises a host of key aspects of our business including the quality and variety of our food, the cleanliness of the premises, staff knowledge, value for money, ease of ordering, social media presence and professionalism throughout our business. Members of the Fry Magazine team are heavily involved in our industry and have held highly sought-after positions within key organisations for many years so the judges know a thing or two about fish and chips.

The Score

Our two shops at Meanwood and Horsforth achieved an incredible 98% out of 100%. To be in the running for the Top 50 Fish & Chip Takeaway the benchmark was set high at 95% and there was plenty of tough competition for the judges to score along the way. Many highly regarded chippies throughout the UK entered and we are chuffed with our overall score which allows Kirbys to be part of this select group of takeaways.
